W[s]BL History
On November 1st, 2008 the first official Westside Bike League Kicked off. There were 9 riders that will for sure go down in history as the "Notorious 9!" We started at the Bicycle Outfitters Racing, Inc. shop in Douglasville, Georgia, and rolled out on an easy 40 mile loop around Douglas, Paulding and Carroll counties, a true "westside" ride...country roads and low traffic, everything was great from ride to the weather! No pressure, not too much testosterone, just a great way to start base miles, you don't even need to do the complete loop, just start off with us so you're motivated enough to brave the elements then do what you want!

WsBL Welcomes everyone!
I want to first off say how cool it is that we've had such a nice turn out, even on the crappiest of days. We have many rides ahead of us and hopefully the weather works with us not against us. Most of our routes are familiar routes to a lot of us so it is not a must to complete every route...it will make you a better rider come spring, but just know that it's cool to cut'er short if you feel the need to or have a house full of family and guests you have to get back to. We just want you out here riding with us, making a name for the WsBL. The WsBL is just kicking off her maiden season so the more the merrier. The reason I have a maps link is just for that reason, download the map if you don't know the route, and get familiar with the turns at the point you think you may break off and head back, or even take a different route all together. We just want everyone to feel welcome, even if you don't race, and are just trying to keep holiday pounds off, JOIN US!
So, take a few minutes to poke around, get acquainted with the WsBL site, who knows maybe you'll see someone on the forums that has the same idea for a longer or shorter route you were thinking about...whatever, just cheek us out
